Catholic social teaching (CST) is rooted in Scripture, formed by the wisdom of Church leaders, and influenced by grassroots movements. It is our moral compass, guiding us on how to live out our faith in the world.

Our faith calls us to love God and to love our neighbours in every situation, especially our sisters and brothers living in poverty. Following in the footsteps of Christ, we hope to make present in our unjust and broken world, the justice, love and peace of God.

CARITAS Award

Within Salford Diocese schools can award children the Caritas in Action Award when they demonstrate the principles of Catholic Social Teaching.

Big Sleep Out

Our Y5 & 6 children raised an amazing £1177 by sleeping out in our hall.

Foodbank

School has supported our families with food parcels over the Christmas holidays.

CAFOD Harvest Collection

Our children and families have been very generous and donated to our local food bank.

Christmas Cards

Children at school created lovely Christmas cards which were distributed throughout our Parish and our local hospital to remind others that they are in our thoughts.

 

CAFOD Christmas Gifts

During our Christmas celebrations we created some Christmas crafts to sell which raised money to purchase Cafod World gifts. We raised £343 pounds and used that to buy a variety of gifts, for example, school starter packs, water for a family, vegetable gardens.
